We understand that dogs will from time to time develop mats in their fur, which are normally easily removed during grooming. If however a dog has developed more severe matting, then the only option will be to clip the coat off completely. This is due to the unavoidable discomfort that can be caused by de-matting and is for the dogs welfare. The coat will then have the opportunity to re-grow naturally back to prime condition.
Owners will always be asked to sign a consent form in this situation before any grooming begins.
Regular grooming at home is really important to help your dogs stay in good condition and avoid a situation where matting gets out of hand. We can advise you on a routine of coat care here at the salon.
If a dog shows aggressive behaviour directly towards staff, we will need to call you to have the dog picked up. Only styling carried out to that point will be charged for.
Please give 24hrs notice via telephone or in person if you would like to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Any less time than this means we will be unable to fill an unused appointment, and a 50% late cancellation fee will be charged.
